Today being Sunday we set off for a quiet exploration of the Local Cedar Creek Falls, However as there has been a distinct lack of rain, the falls are reduced to a pretty lagoon surrounded by foliage and a skirting of trees

Our next visit was to explore two local beaches close to Airlie Beach one is Conway and the other Dingo beaches.
Both offered an opportunity to stroll for many
hours in the sun with very little interuptions
apart from the odd motorised hang glider or two !!!

These were doing all sorts of manouvers along the beach and ranged from powered hang gliders to buggy styled karts like this one coming into land.

A natural escape from the traffic, was to wonder off beach combing, with an abundance of shells. star fish and sea urchins there was plenty of interest and an opportunity to loose oneself in collecting "Goodies" No, we do not have a car full of shells but it was tempting !! We found a quaint pub on Dingo beach, the singer was playing a veriety of our style of music, and the seafood lunch and cold beers went down a treat.

A map showing routes and locations would be nice and helpful - especially for Brits with no geographical sense of what Australia is really like
