We have now moved on to Kyogle for the 2nd week of our caravaning holiday and just to make things interesting we had to set up in the rain which we handled well and are still friends (just!) The reason for staying here is so we can explore the Richmond Valley and its surrounding rainforests. This is us entering the Border Rangers National Park which is a 90 km trip that they say takes approx. 4hrs. This is due to the gravel roads and the beautiful landscape diversions that you must stop at and take a photo or two.

Here we are standing at the Pinnacle Lookout which gives you views right across the Tweed Valley over to Mt Warning and beyond.


We had such a clear day after an incredibly foggy morning as this photo shows. Taken from Blackbutt lookout on the Tweed Range scenic drive.

After this we ventured further across to Nimbin "the smoking" capital of Australia if you know what we mean! Very interesting place and people. Lots of crafts shops all with their own choice of opening and closing times depending on when they wake from the haze. As we walked the shore line we were impressed with
both the beauty of the area but also the serenity of
nature in general ...

We have errected our annexe for the first time and all went well, it took us a little longer than we had thought but shorter than it might have, from here on in it will be a lot easier.
That was the main purpose of this trip, to "learn" and we are tracking very well.
To celebrate our success we treated ourselves to a trip to Yamba were we had a lovely day,weather was great and we did not need rocking to sleep.

Having a great relaxing time at Evans head, the weather is great, a little cool in the evenings but most enjoyable.
I am having trouble downloading pictures as I have the wrong driver loaded for the camera I have with me, but will sort it out, and lavish you with lovely pictures of Northern NSW

Hi Dear Friends,

Well, we are about to hit the road again, this time with the caravan. We spent a weekend recently at Peachtrees in the Jimna State Forest with friends to get acquainted with the van and to join the "Grey Nomads" well at least as far as I am concerned ( the Grey I mean)

On Wednesday 19th June we are off to Evans Head and then on to Kyogle on the NSW Central Coast, for a two week adventure, and to give Clare the opportunity of supporting the "Cockroaches" on home territory !! It will be nice to hear from you all and to keep in touch so feel free to say Hi !! as we will have our note Book with us to record a diary of sorts..
