London turned on a superb Day as we visited the London Eye. The views were incredable and as it was school holiday's the queues were 2 hours - It turned out to be worth the wait as we had a glorious day.

Spent the day around Hexham visiting Hadrian's wall and Derwentwent water.
The weather continues to be very kind to us and our friend's Jackie & Peter are great hosts.

As you can see we are making use of all the hours available, it is getting dark at 4pm hence the attached picture was taken with a flash as we stood on some of the relics from Hadrians wall - It was built by the Romans in 122AD to keep the Scots out of England needless to say it "Failed"

The boat was parked on Derwentwater in the Lakes district.
It is as pretty as I remembered it to be and Clare is impressed by the Autum leaves and colours as winter approaches

Dear Friends,

We are currently in London with Jeff & Rachel having spent four days in France with our friends Jeff and Joan,

We have covered Italy without leaving a stone unturned, and are looking forward to having a further holiday and a "rest" both in England & Scotland

We have had difficulty having internet contact in Italy hence the poor communication during our trip
However things will improve and I promise to do better.
Meanwhile take care
Alistair & Clare

Warmest regards Alistair & Clare
