We have arrived at Yeppoon and settled in once again - really getting the hang of the caravan

/car hitch & unhitch now, almost experts! We arrived by lunch time so had time to explore the area in the afternoon. We went to Emu Park to check out the Singing Ship - a monument to Captain Cook. Depending on the way the wind blows the ship sings through the pipes. This ship overlooks Great Keppel Island.
Whilst doing our sightseeing we wound down the driver's window of the car only to find that it would not go back up and we were having difficulty closing the door. What the heck were we going to do now - not exactly secure in the caravan park and the closest FORD dealer is back in Rockhampton. Alistair made the call and they agreed to look at it the following morning. Thank goodness we had the extended warranty. Of course the next morning was the coldest we have experienced so far and we had to drive the 50 kms with the window down - just a bit chilly. 4 hrs later and all was fixed.
A lot has changed in Yeppoon since our last visit 9 years ago. The beach

front has been modernised with lots of shade and grassed areas and there are plans for a few highrise apartment blocks. The views are just as lovely as you look out over to Keppel Island and it's a nice place to visit for a few days. We stayed at the Causeway Caravan Park beside the lake about 12 km out of town.
